EC10 Toilet formulation is based on methane sulphonic acid. This acid is formed as the result of the photochemical oxidation of dimethylsulphide in the atmosphere and is therefore part of the natural sulphur cycle. This offers a huge environmental advantage over other acids used in this application. Methane sulphonic acid is readily biodegradable and free of phosphorus and nitrogen, minimising the production of phosphates when entering sewage and waterways.
The thickening system used for EC10 Toilet is surfactant-based. This not only builds viscosity when diluted, but also provides detergency to improve cleaning and soil removal. The viscosity when diluted demonstrates shear thinning behaviour, meaning the product can be dispensed easily on application. Once on contact with a surface the viscosity recovers, allowing the product to cling to the surface for a longer contact time, maximising cleaning and descaling performance.
Each 2x5L pack provides a minimum of 333 x 900ml bottles or 166 bottles for heavy-duty dilution.
